ABOUT
Anne-Kathrin Kühner is a textile and material designer, researcher and maker currently based between Berlin and Stuttgart. She graduated from Kunsthochschule Weißensee Berlin in 2016 with an MA in Textiles and Surface Design and previously studied in Hamburg and Denmark.Driven by curiosity for design and craft, she works with an experimental and explorative mindset, stretching textile boundaries to reveal unexpected possibilities. Her practice investigates how materials can be utilised and created differently through hands on processes and crafted techniques, with a focus on sustainability, function and tactile experience. Research and creative exploration form the foundation of her work, developed within her ongoing research label Soft & Solidified Textiles.
